Why Do You Need My Information?
For the purposes of conflict resolution and mediation. Specifically, to ensure that any resolution and solution actions agreed and discussed during the mediation process can be achieved.
What Allows You to Use My Information?
LINK Mediation Services will simply keep the information for a period no longer than 12 months in order to satisfy both parties to the mediation process, LINK Mediation Services and the referrer for the purposes of the mediation process.
As mediation is a voluntary practice both parties will have provided their consent to this part of the process as they are the beneficiaries of any outcomes.
Who Will My Information Be Shared With?
Your data will be shared with the referring organisation and may be shared with third party agencies such as health partners and law enforcement agencies for the purposes of assisting the mediation process.
Do I Have to Provide This Information and What Will Happen If I Don’t?
No. Mediation is a voluntary process and you can withdraw at any time. Consent is required by the parties involved and therefore data sharing is agreed.
How Long will You Keep this Data for and Why?
Your data will be stored for a period of 12 months after which it will be destroyed.
How Will My Information Be Stored?
Your data will be stored in electronic files requiring authorisation and secure passwords.
Will This Information Be Used to Take Automated Decisions About Me?
No.
Will My Data Be Transferred Abroad and Why?
No.

You have the right under the Data Protection Act 1998 (General Data Protection Regulation) to request a copy of your information and to know what it is used for and how it has been shared. This is called the right of subject access.
